We are thinking of going on an Alaskan Cruise but have no idea where to start planning--ports to see, start at the north and go south, start at the south and go north.  Is the train trip worth while?

I would love input from anyone who has gone on a cruise.  Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I will check with my in laws and a couple of my friends that have went on Alaskan cruises multiple times and see what they have to say, the wife and I would like to go and see the glaciers and take the train into Denali at some point to do some hiking but have not had the time to do so yet. Wink

We are going later this year, starting in Fairbanks and finishing in Vancouver. I can give you our logic and selections next time we meet.
