Steve,
I turned over all the cleaning supplies to John at the transition meeting.
It's really happening!  Winter will end!

I have the cleanup materials.  Will call Aaron or Anne this week or next to make sure that they have our date penciled in and will start to work on more details soon.

Let me know if you need any further help. In the past, Michael brought some towels for drying, otherwise we should remind people to bring their own. I have brought some of the buckets and wash mitts and can do it again.

The Spring Cleanup will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010, at the Morries Mazda dealership.  Morries will open the service area for us to do cleanup and minor projects to get ready for the driving season.

For anyone not aware of our sponsor's location, it is on the service road just north of I-394 between the Plymouth Rd. exit and I-494.  Exit I-394 at Plymouth Rd., turn north to the first stop light (Wayzata Blvd.) north of the freeway, then turn left ~0.4 miles to Morries Mazda.  Park outside the lower service area and enter the dealership through the service area door.

The service bay will be open from 8:30 until 12:00.  We will have a brief meeting for socialization and discussion of the upcoming driving season.  We will then retire to the service area for cleanup of the cars.

The club will provide car wash soap, wax, applicators, etc. for cleaning the cars.  Morries personnel will be there to answer any questions that you may have and a new 2010 Miata will be available for view.

Lunch afterwards will be an ad hoc proposition based on discussion at the event, but past cleanups have shown that the Granite City in Plymouth is generally not too crowded for lunch.

Hmmmm,
I thought the Granite City we used was in St. Louis Park.
That must have been the other car club. Huh

Hi folks - we are new members this year and plan to go to the Spring Clean Up.  Someone mentioned at Dave & Buster's that in past years Morries had a guy there to remove dents.  Will this be available?

Looking forward to the event...

Sorry if I missed the time, but:

"The service bay will be open from 8:30 until 12:00.  We will have a brief meeting for socialization and discussion of the upcoming driving season.  We will then retire to the service area for cleanup of the cars."

Should we arrive at 8:30 to get in on the "socialization and discussion" portion as we will not be needing to do any cleanup, or will this be at some other time later in the morning?

tnx

There will be a short meeting starting at 8:30 in the conference room, then we will break up and start the cleanup.

Slight change of plans.  Meet in the upper parking lot outside the Mazda showroom.  Our cleanup will be up there rather than in the service bay.

Please bring your own towels/chamois for drying your car.
