Miata Club Message List

If you are using a 'ProActive Spam Filter', a filter that requires a sender to be authenticated

before you receive the email, this will stop the return registration email which contains the

final steps for registering. To complete the registration, you will have to allow email from

the 'MiataClubMn.com' domain.

How to subscribe to/unsubscribe from the mailing list

Because the word message is used so many times in this discription and I chose to call

the mailing list message, any time you see message bolded, it pertains to the mailing list

To subscribe to the list, send a message by clicking on this link:
<message-subscribe@miataclubmn.com>

No subject or message is required. If you do put something in those fields, it will be ignored.

You can start a subscription for an alternate address,
for example "john@host.domain", just add a hyphen and your
address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word:
<message-subscribe-john=host.domain@miataclubmn.com>

You will be sent the following e-mail:

To confirm that you would like

john@host.domain

added to the message mailing list, please send
an empty reply to this address:

Just hit the "reply" button and your mail program should setup the return address.
If this does not work, simply copy the address and paste it into
the "To:" field of a new message.

This confirmation serves two purposes. First, it verifies that I am able
to get mail through to you. Second, it protects you in case someone
forges a subscription request in your name.

Some mail programs cannot handle long addresses. If you
cannot reply to this request, instead send a message to
<message-request@miataclubmn.com> and put the
entire address listed above into the "Subject:" line.

To remove your address from the list, just send a message to
the address in the ``List-Unsubscribe'' header of any list
message. If you haven't changed addresses since subscribing,
you can also send a message to:
<message-unsubscribe@miataclubmn.com>

To stop subscription for address john@host.domain, mail:
<message-unsubscribe-john=host.domain@miataclubmn.com>

To see past messages, you can send a message to:
<message-get@miataclubmn.com(*)> and you will get the last 30 messages.

Other notes:

You cannot reply to the message list. If you do you will get an e-mail back telling
you that you cannot reply to these messages. Please respond to the address supplied
in the body of the e-mail message. If there is no address to respond to and you have
questions about the e-mail content. Send your question and a copy of the e-mail in
question to one of the following board members address:

webmaster@miataclubmn.com

You also cannot post or send e-mail to message@miataclubmn.com. Your message will
be sent to the bit bucket and you will receive no indication that your message was
not accepted. Only the moderators of the list can post messages to the message list.
