What the Miata Club is about

The club is primarily based on all the aspects and enjoyment of the Miata. We typically get together and take a drive to all sorts of different places. There are about 120 Miatas in the club. Beyond the meetings and drives listed below, our larger rallies take place the first weekend in May and the weekend after Labor Day. These consist of a group of about 30 to 40 cars taking a longer distance drive to some great destinations. The trips can be Saturday and Sunday, but at times we have added Fridays. The destinations have included: Wisconsin Dells, Hayward, Prairie Du Chien, LaCrosse and The Minnesota Scenic Byway just to name a few. The trips are always a fun time with great friends.

Other events have included driving schools, drive-in movies, picnics, a day at the Minnesota Saints, holiday parties and more. Check out the events page on the website for more information on the planned events.

Do we have meetings?

Typically we have two meetings a year. The meeting in October deals with the club business such as elections, club dues, suggestions for activities and previewing the new Miata to come on the market. Our April meeting has been a "Tech Night" where we learn more about the car and what it takes to tweak a few things to add to the enjoyment of the car. At times this has developed into a Clean Up Day where Morrie's Mazda has provided us a place for everyone to come and clean up their cars, and all the members help each other with a variety of fix up items, including paint chip touch up and safety checks.

During the driving season we get together twice a month. We meet on a Wednesday night for a drive and dinner, and on a Sunday for a drive and brunch. These drives let us discover lots of new places and experience great twisty roads in the area.
